Frontend engineer who designs

Six years shipping React, TypeScript, and Solana products at the design-engineering gap. Currently leading design at Equicomtech on CRPKO, a crypto exchange. Open to Web3 frontend roles where product instinct matters as much as code.

What I bring that's rare

Designer and engineer, in one head

I lead design at Equicomtech on CRPKO (crypto exchange) and ship the frontend that implements it. There is no Figma-to-engineering re-interpretation step. I do both. The design that goes into Figma is the design that ships, because I am the person writing the code.

Code-grade prototyping against live API data

I prototype features in HTML/CSS against real API responses, not in Figma. The design hits backend reality at design time, not implementation time. Implementation effort drops, fidelity goes up, and the team ships the design, not their interpretation of it.

Solana and Web3 fluency from real builds

Pubkey (Discord wallet verification + Web3.js), DeFi Triangle (crypto social side project), OME-sim (Solana order matching engine in Rust, Superteam bounty win), CRPKO (crypto exchange frontend). 10 Superteam wins, $2,530 earned across 45 submissions, most Solana-adjacent.

Strong product instinct as a default

I will not ship a screen that is visually broken because I would have caught it as a designer first. You do not need a design reviewer on every PR. The product baseline is already there.

How I work

Design from the intersection of what we can ship (codebase) and what users expect (research). Not from either side alone.

  1. 01Codebase-first. I read the API responses, the state machines, and the actual data shape before sketching anything. Design that ignores backend reality is just expensive Figma.
  2. 02Reference grammar second. Mobbin, Codex, web search across the relevant niche. For crypto/fintech specifically, I built AgentUX Catalogue because public tools miss the in-flight apps.
  3. 03HTML prototype third. Working surface in the browser, real data shape, real interaction states. This is what engineering implements against, not a Figma mock they reinterpret.
  4. 04Ship and iterate. PR-sized commits, every change traceable, dev handoff via working artifacts not deck slides. The build log is the case study.

Web3 / Solana work

CRPKO: Crypto exchange (Equicomtech)

Design lead + frontend contributor · 2025 – present

Leading design and shipping frontend across the web app, mobile design, and the live MVP. Currently designing the Subaccount feature with HTML prototypes against live API data. Full build log in case study.

Build log

Pubkey: Discord wallet verification

Web3 contract · 2024

Verification flow tying Discord identity to a Solana wallet. Worked across the integration surface and the user-facing screens.

A recently-started personal side project exploring the social side of crypto and trading — the experience around the charts, not just in them.

OME-sim: Solana order matching engine

Superteam bounty · Rust

Production-grade order matching engine built in Rust on Solana. Won a Superteam bounty. The kind of Solana-native work that pairs cleanly with the FE side.

GitHub

Superteam: 10 wins / $2,530 / 45 submissions

2023 – present

Bounty work across Solana ecosystem teams. Volume signal that I ship under real constraints: public deliverables, fixed scope, tight timelines.

Mapped against a typical Web3 FE role

Plain mapping between what these JDs ask for and the evidence already on the table.

Build responsive UIs using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind
This portfolio, every screen of CRPKO, every shipped product on this page.
Integrate Solana wallets and on-chain data visualization
Pubkey wallet verification + DeFi Triangle + Solana bounty work across Superteam.
Implement yield tracking and performance dashboards
CRPKO trader-side surfaces (Subaccount, portfolio composition, status states). Data-dense screens are my comfort zone.
Work closely with product design to deliver seamless UX
I am the product design. AgentUX Catalogue is the internal tool I built so my team designs from evidence.
Optimize for load performance and cross-device support
Image pipeline on this portfolio, responsive design from mobile up, theme-system without FOUC.

This portfolio: hirahul.xyz

Next.js 16 (App Router, Turbopack), Tailwind v4, custom theme system with FOUC-prevention, image optimization pipeline (sharp → WebP), MDX-free markdown rendering, replica route catch-alls for old portfolio archives. Built and maintained solo.

Let's talk

If you're hiring an FE engineer who can own the design as well as the code, and you're building in Web3, fintech, or anywhere data density matters, I'd like to hear about it.
